This Sr. SW Test role is for a hands-on engineer who is detail-oriented, entrepreneurial and driven to get her/his products delivered. You will contribute heavily to our goal of delivering this increasingly complex and interconnected system of components.

You will participate in medical device software verification and validation in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Testing medical device software requires rigor and attention to detail to meet industry and regulatory standards. We're looking for a motivated, and also creative, SW test engineers with a focus on quality who has experience with requirements-based software test automation.
A Day in the Life


  • Participate in the development, review, execution of manual and automated software tests for the connected cloud platform.
  • Design test scenarios to ensure intended behavior is properly verified
  • Perform software verification and validation activities using automation tools, simulators and test hardware
  • Collaborate with SW engineers, system engineers, quality, project management, and other team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner
  • Participate in SW test automation framework and tools development
  • Participate in Agile software development process and work towards achieving team goals
  • Author technical documentation per quality system requirements
  • Use issue tracking tools, software version control and requirement management tools in day to day work
  • Coordinate and collaborate with global team members
  • Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional teams
  • Mentor junior engineers in software testing activities/methodologies and domain knowledge.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
  • Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
  • Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
  • Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
  • Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience or a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium and ReadyAPI
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries for diagnostics
  • Experience with Python, and any of the following: C#, Java, C++
  • Experience with Linux command-line tools
  • Previous experience with medical device software systems
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience delivering commercial software in a fast-paced environment
