Marketing Automation Developer (Temporary)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Automation Developer on a temporary basis to be part of an expanding global marketing automation team at Robert Half. Working out of our corporate office in San Ramon this role will be responsible for the development and implementation of automated customer journeys for both hiring managers and job seekers. The goal of these journeys is to drive engagement, acquire leads and retain customers. Additionally, this role is responsible for building audiences for campaigns from multiple data sources (Salesforce CRM, Job postings, Website tracking, API calls, FTP, etc.) as well as make sure campaigns are integrated across channels to ensure a seamless customer experience as well end to end reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build cross-channel automated campaigns and programs leveraging email, SMS, Mobile push, and landing pages


• Develop and Test HTML email templates


• Develop triggered communications, journeys, and automation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud


• Build rapid campaign prototypes for A:B tests and pilots


• Build audiences, segments, and data sources using SQL, APIs, filters, and other Marking Cloud activities


• Develop complex dynamic, personalized email content using AmpScript


• Work with the analytics team to provide data reporting and analysis for campaign optimization


• Work with operations to help troubleshoot and resolve marketing cloud system issues


• Collaborate in a cross-functional agile team to continuously experiment, iterate, and deliver new campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Statistics or similar/related field


• 4-5 years previous experience in marketing automation or web developer role


• Salesforce Marketing Cloud or ExactTarget experience required


• Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing data model and experience building data extensions


• Experience with SQL and AmpScript


• Expertise in core web languages such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.


• Experience with JSON and RESTful web services


• Familiarity with email marketing standard methodologies and CAN-SPAM/GDPR regulations


• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies


• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent project management as well as interpersonal and organizational skills


• Excellent communications skills, written and verbal


• Ability to drive a problem through to a solution, with minimal direction
