Job Description:

SUMMARY: Support the customer on-site in the area of project engineering, application software development, debugging, and embedded software failure analysis

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • On-site engineering support at customers for SW related failures

  • Acting as a liaison between customer and SW development

  • Support electrical and SW integration of EPS (electrical power steering) into prototype vehicles

  • Responsible to develop simple scripts for efficient SW troubleshooting and problem analysis

  • Participate in project acquisition, support analysis of SW related customer requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:


  • Bachelor or Masters (preferred) degree in software development, computer science, electrical engineer or mechatronics

  • Strong knowledge of 16/32-bit microcontrollers (e.g. NXP, Infineon, Freescale, Renesas etc.)

  • Experience with UDS protocol (ISO14229-1) or CAN / FlexRay

  • Experience with any of the following is an added plus: safety critical (ISO26262) SW development, AUTOSAR, MATLAB Simulink, Enterprise architect

  • Strong analytical problem solving skills


Computer and Technology Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge in embedded software development environments and tools including IDE, editors, compilers, linkers, emulators, debuggers, analysis and monitoring tools

  • 3+ years of experience with C/C++ in embedded, real-time environment

  • Office applications like MS Office
