You will have an opportunity to contribute to advancing security, while working with other Security Engineers, Program Managers, and Developers throughout the R&D organization to instill the core security mindset and culture. A Day in the Life


  • Threat modeling and security reviews; you will review the design of services from a security perspective to identity vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the architecture.
  • Collaborate with the application and cloud service team, guiding them to implement security recommendations and helping them to understand the security mindset
  • Penetration testing; examine the target systems in detail, looking for vulnerabilities and weaknesses in collaboration with other penetration testing and red teams.
  • Tool Prototypes & development; contribute to the development of tools, processes, and policies to prevent, detect, and resolve classes of issues across our application and cloud services.
  • Teach; develop training practices to instruct the software engineering teams about the principles of "security and threat by design".
  • Emerging Threat and Vulnerability Research; identify and evaluate new areas for research, perform analysis into emerging threats, including proactive security research on the technologies under consideration for new product capabilities.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities.
  • Determines systems software design requirements.
  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
  • Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience or a master's degree with at least 5 years of experience.
Nice to Have

  • Experience in technical disciplines outside security space, including general software development, networking, database management.
  • Knowledge of AWS and experience with cloud architectures
  • Experience in highly rigorous and regulated environments
