Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Director - Schaeffler Services Amercias to support our facility in Fort Mill, SC. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating all activities specifically related to the Schaeffler Group Americas Industrial Services product line.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Business development, marketing, and sales management of Schaeffler's Industry 40 condition monitoring technologies and other services offerings
Develop strategic plans and targets for both indirect and direct market channels through market research, competitive analysis, and cooperation with local sales teams
Focus efforts to insure team meets the monthly and yearly sales plan and budget
Conduct assessments to analyze maintenance and reliability practices in plants
Design and implement world-class condition monitoring programs
Support sales team in product technical assistance and training to help identify and close opportunities
Responsible for project management, launch, and service agreement management
Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to actively participate in strategic planning
Manage team and time to meet key performance indicators and meet customer's expectations
Use best practice approach from other regions and countries to improve product specific market shares within the Americas
Set and monitor market pricing for both the indirect and direct market channels
Monitor competitor (strategic/tactical behavior, product portfolio, footprint, etc.) and communication and define countermeasures
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field of study
Five to ten years' experience in machine applications, maintenance & engineering, reliability engineering and condition monitoring of machines including leadership of a service orientated organization
Proven track record in developing and implementing product and sales strategies
Familiar with factory automation systems preferred
Significant experience with business development and service contracts through both distribution and direct end user channels
Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
Experience with business process mapping, problem solving, continuous improvement, and lean management principles preferred
Strategic thinker but focused on tactical achievement and business results for area of responsibility
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
