Software Engineer III

JOB DESCRIPTION

Robert Half is seeking a Software Engineer III who will develop, design, and modify large and complex modules and components within a larger system architecture. Analyze, design, and implement customized Salesforce solutions. Implement, configure, and develop Salesforce functionality using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning (including LWCs), Workflow, SOQL, SOSL, HTML, CSS, APIs (SOAP/REST) and any other features of the Salesforce platform as necessary. Code all components within an end-to-end system (i.e., DB, middleware, and front end). Develop applications for internal or external users, such as recruitment systems, CRM applications, mobile or web-based applications and APIs or interfaces for consumption by external systems. Implement SDLC documentation and procedures for all phases of the software development lifecycle. Interact with business and IT stakeholders to understand system requirements and necessary modifications. Support product launches in production environments. Perform unit testing, planning, and execution for software code validation. Define integration test strategies and plans and create automated tests for own or others’ code. Contribute to integration test strategy and planning. Analyze and resolve complex production issues and define department guidelines and troubleshoot best practices. Serve as design authority at module-level for system design. Review junior-level Software Engineers’ modules and components coding and approve deliverables. Provide feedback and design support for junior-level staff.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely  related quantitative discipline plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering or program analysis or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering or program analysis.

Special Skill Requirements

1.            Experience in the design, development, testing and deployment of new features or applications built using the Salesforce platform, including Force.com platform, visualforce, and workflow.

2.            Ensure security of Salesforce features or applications by correct implementation of the Salesforce Security model (profiles, roles, permission sets, sharing rules, etc).

3.            Ensure scalability and performance by understanding and applying SFDC-specific design and coding best practices, understanding Governor Limits and other platform-specific limits.        

4.            Maintain and debug existing systems by using Salesforce specific debugging skills (use of debug logs, APEX log replayer and/or APEX debugger).

5.            Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Salesforce integrations, data loads, conversions using salesforce data loader and other scripting language.

6.            Perform complex release of application in production, and gather and analyze requirements.

7.            Performance tuning of complex processes, reports, integrations using Salesforce and Jenkins tools.

8.            Interface with QA teams to collaborate on system test plans, and understand and resolve issues arising from systems testing and UAT.
