Job Summary:  Leather wrapping Technician is responsible for producing an acceptable finished product which meets our customer requirements at the established rate.

Job Duties:  Inspect substrates and parts which enter the work cell and reports any defective parts to Team Lead for review.  Does not use suspect or defective material in the process.  Uses hand and eye dexterity to ensure leather and other materials are formed onto substrate and stitching matches the flow required by customer.  Demonstrates and understands the functions and basic mechanical workings of assigned machines under limited supervision.  Follows work order instructions and performs labeling requirements as required.  Adheres to productivity standards.  Complies with all required safety practices and use of PPE.  Contributes primarily through execution of defined processes and procedures but may make suggestions for process improvement.  Builds productive working relationships internally, generally within immediate department or team. Learns and closely follows established processes and directions.  Receives Direct Supervision for routine work, new projects or assignments.  Trains other team members directed by supervisor or lead.  Attends all pre-shift and post-shift meetings as required.  All other duties as assigned.

High School, Technical diploma or similar.  1-5 years of manufacturing experience. 1-2 years in automotive preferred.  Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.  Preferred:  1+ year of related experience operating finishing and/or leather converting equipment (die cutting, laminating, slitting, etc.) Excellent mechanical abilities Ability to work with light to medium machinery. Ability to work efficiently with others is a must.
