Job Description:

Management Concepts is recruiting for an innovative Director of Brand Creative with a strong background in using both digital and traditional marketing tactics. This newly created position will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing and will oversee a team of design and communications professionals who touch every marketing channel including -- but not limited to -- print advertising, video, digital advertising and social media. This is a key marketing leadership role so a strong track record of working collaboratively to get things done is a must.

The ideal candidate will be both a manager and a strategic contributor who has cross-functional expertise in both content creation and design. While wearing your manager hat, you would demonstrate experience in managing a range of creative positions (graphic designers, video producers, and copywriters) with a style that fosters creativity and innovation while ensuring deadlines are met. As a strategist you would work closely with the Vice President of Marketing and your Marketing and Product Management peers to craft written content that reflects and enhances our brand voice. 

This role would be ideal for an inspirational leader who also enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting hands on with creative projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Monitor for brand and content consistency across formats and channels; be an active contributor to the evolution of the brand itself.

•    Guide the Brand Creative team, setting tone and direction and defining roles and responsibilities, to build a flexible, upbeat group that will meet the evolving needs of the organization.

•    Work with Project Manager/s to coordinate the intake, assignment and execution of projects requested by internal clients. 

•    Manage and grow a network of supporting vendors that can provide specialty services and skills.

•    Contribute to the creation of written content

Required Skills:

•    Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring creative staff in a corporate environment.

•    Working familiarity of common design and office productivity tools as well as creative production processes.

•    Exceptional problem-solving and project management skills -- essential for balancing competing priorities.

•    Experience in creating compelling written content across multiple marketing channels.

•    Ability to thrive in a complex and evolving environment

Essential Functions:

•    Be the subject matter expert on content development and design strategy for Marketing campaigns requested by internal stakeholders. 

•    Ensure alignment with other departments to create consistency in how the brand is positioned and expressed across all mediums and channels

•    Supervise project intake process; work with Project Manager to develop production schedules, identify and assign internal/external resources, and make adjustments as needed to ensure on time delivery of creative output.

•    Manage production status reports and proactively communicate creative project status to stakeholders

•    Manage budgets in partnership with Marketing project leads

•    Build an exceptional creative team capable of bringing to life brand and product stories that inspire internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or Marketing required, MBA or equivalent work experience preferred 

•    7-10 years of hands-on experience with a focus on content creation and production

•    At least 3 years supervisory experience demonstrating strong production, organization, and management skills

•    Preference for candidates with experience in managing and mentoring a creative team in a corporate environment 

•    A portfolio of the creative work you have done that makes you most proud. 

•    Experience in the B2G or training market desirable, but not required
