Type: Full-Time
Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut

Job Description:

Excited to grow your career?

We value our talented employees, and whenever possible strive to help one of our associates grow professionally before recruiting new talent to our open positions. If you think the open position you see is right for you, we encourage you to apply!

Our people make all the difference in our success.

We are seeking experienced Product Owners to join our Affordability Solution team.

This Product Owner will oversee a specific cross-cutting enabler and/or solution in support of multiple Affordability opportunities. Examples of cross cutting enablers and solutions include: telephonic care navigation and onboarding, opportunity and message prioritization, customer health profile and need identification and referral capabilities (other spaces will emerge as we push our affordability strategy and execution work forward). The Product Owner will work to understand the key needs dictated by the Affordability Strategy and the Opportunity Team. Once needs are defined the Product Owner is responsible for facilitating and defining solutions, prioritizing features and insights collection, and assisting delivery teams in bringing solutions to life. This individual is responsible for working with Global Data and Analytics, Omnichannel Value Stream, Solutions, and the Affordability Supply teams to define our near / long-term enabling solution roadmaps. These roadmaps will define Affordability's perspective on the objectives certain cross-cutting solutions need to meet. In some cases these roadmaps will define a point of view on steerage prioritization across messages, telephonic navigation and digital experiences. This leader will need to maintain and evolve their roadmap(s) based on new information while partnering with delivery teams to move specific features from the roadmap to delivery backlogs and into customers' hands. While this Product Owner's initial bias will be Cigna's Commercial book, we will look to support the Enterprise representing US medical total cost of care affordability needs inside and outside of Cigna in the not too distant future. The Product Owner will have exceptional communication and analytical skills, a demonstrated history of translating strategy and insights into execution plans and tactics, and a passion for developing new solutions in partnership with delivery teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accountable Product Owner for defining a solution roadmap and/or prioritizing initiatives across key cohorts and navigation touchpoints points with customers

  • Solution roadmaps should contemplate needs of all known Opportunity areas

  • Product Owner should seek support from CX, Market Research, GD&A, Omnichannel Value Stream and other teams to identify and execute activities that will help address gaps in our understanding of an area

  • Identifies headwinds and develops plans to mitigate

  • Identifies tailwinds and incorporates plans to use as accelerators

  • Partners with delivery teams to help bring solutions and processes to life that improve Affordability

  • Coordinates demand side initiatives with supply side capabilities to create integrated opportunity roadmaps

  • Partners with Opportunity Lead and Affordability Scoring Lead to ensure appropriate analytic plans and resources are in place to measure the impact of initiatives

  • Brings forward key insights to Opportunity Lead and Affordability Scoring Lead that help us evolve our macro business case assumptions

  • Partners with Opportunity Product Owners to define and coordinate needs of any cross cutting solutions or enabling functions

  • Reports to Director, Affordability Solution Lead

    Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Build a high performing matrix team of SMEs to inform roadmap development and tactic definition

  • Be seen as the Leader of a particular solution space who collects insights and ideas from a variety of SMEs and works to synthesize all data and define a point of view

  • Ensures appropriate team structure and governance is in place to deliver on goals

  • Build relationships with business leaders across functions and ensure functional / support teams are engaged as needed to support business strategy and execution priorities

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of management experience with a successful track record of developing and leading teams / organizations in a similar capacity

  • Expert level knowledge of total medical cost concepts, analytics and business cases

  • Track record of translating strategy into tangible feature roadmap

  • Experience with defining business objectives, developing conceptual solutions and partnering with delivery teams to bring specific features and experiences to life

  • Experience in Agile delivery is ideal

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
