Yard Man - Forklift Operator at CXT Incorporated

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Forklift Operator for our warehouse yard in Nampa, Idaho.   This role will work with the warehouse team and be responsible for operating forklifts, moving material throughout the facility, loading and unloading, both receiving and shipping.

Essential Functions:


  • Observe all safety guidelines and protocol

  • Maintain certification to operate forklifts (up to 35,000 pounds) and operate at maximum efficiency levels

  • Load and unload materials, ensure materials are staged for counting/inspection and that receiving reports are accurate

  • Supply materials to fabrication and stage material for assembly and manufacturing

  • Ensure materials and products are properly stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures

  • Properly load products to maintain weight distribution and balance on outbound delivery trucks

  • Verify correct productions and materials against bill of lading or other documentation

  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced, and perform daily pre-shift inspections; ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are completed

  • Assist Mi-Jack Operator by spotting and directing for shipment of buildings and any other yard activities as directed

  • Clean and maintain the yard in an organized manner at all times

  • Coordinate truck traffic throughout the yard

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years forklift operation experience

  • Additional mobile equipment operator experience is a plus.

  • Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

  • Good visual acuity
