Position Objective:








The Registered Paramedic's (RP) primary responsibility is responding to emergency requests for assistance within the immediate and mutual aid catchment areas. The RP functions within the Emergency Department as a team with the Physicians, Registered Nurses (RN) and Physicians Assistants (PA). The RP will to adhere to the Hospital's Standards of Patient Care to deliver safe, quality patient care in the Prehospital and Emergency Department settings. The RP performs all treatments and procedures within the scope of RP practice and as outlined in the Standards Manual, Protocols, Policies and Procedures and Practice Guidelines.

Patient Population Served :

This employee is expected to deliver patient care in a manner that is appropriate to patient's age, physical ability, and intellectual development. The Registered Paramedic must demonstrate proficiency in assessment and treatment, and the ability to adapt care to meet the needs of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Expected Hours of Work :

7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Weekends, Days, Evening, Holidays


Qualifications

Position Qualifications:


  1. Graduate of a paramedic program.

  2. Current licensure as a Paramedic in the State of New Hampshire.

  3. Current CPR certification at the healthcare provider level.

  4. Current licensure as a Paramedic in the State of New Hampshire.

  5. Valid Driver's license free from restrictions and insurable by hospital
    insurance company.

  6. A Department of Motor Vehicle Driving History Release must be submitted
    prior to employment and annually must be in and remain in compliance with
    Frisbie's Driver/Fleet Safety Policy.

  7. Attain RSI credentials with the State of New Hampshire within one year
    of hire.

  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress work environment.

  9. Ability to maintain customer focused interpersonal communication skills
    and patient confidentiality.

  10. BCLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.
