Direct Support Professionals are responsible for assisting adults with disabilities to develop communication, social, and daily living skills.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Create and maintain a safe and positive environment.


• 
  Support, guide, and teach consumers everyday skills,including hygiene safety,food preparation, shopping, budgeting, interpersonal skills, utilizing community resources, social and interpersonal development.
  


• Complete and review all required documentation, including vehicle logs, medication logs, progress notes, sleep logs, menu plans, client inventories, medical/dental forms and etc..


• Collaborate with treatment team in order to properly implement goals listed in Individual Support plans (ISP'S)

Required Experience

• Prior experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors is perferred.


• Two weeks Paid Training Provided

Required Education

• High School Diploma


• GED

Required Qualifications

• Valid Drivers License


• Ability to Pass Mandatory Criminal Background Check

Program Summary

Community Passages is a community-based residential program designed to provide a homelike environment for individuals with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses, many of whom present significantly challenging behaviors and most of whom previously resided at state centers and hospitals. Residents develop life skills, increase their self-esteem, and are empowered to make choices for themselves.

Positions available in the North Hills, Allegheny Valley, Harmarville, Plum, West Mifflin, and Beaver Falls areas.
