Description

***This is a full-time, 40 hours or more per week position floating to various client sites in the territory surrounding Oak Lawnin the South Suburbs of the Chicago area. Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm and Saturday's as needed.***

The Phlebotomist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The Phlebotomist's primary responsibility is for specimen collections (phlebotomy) and Outpatient Lab/EKG services. The phlebotomist also provides phlebotomy support for non-centralized units at Central DuPage Hospital. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to computer lab order entry, lab specimen receipt, patient information retrieval, lab reception/clerical duties and functions.


Qualifications

Required:


  • Phlebotomy certification or training from a JACHO accredited school or institution

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to assess and determine situations requiring an interpreter, and to use interpreter services effectively.

  • Computer/Keyboard literate.

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Preferred:


  • One year of experience

  • Bilingual

  • Valid drivers license with a good driving record

  • Auto insurance

  • CERT PBT
