Job Summary:

Responsible for operating manual or CNC machine tools to produce precision parts. Produce small or large orders or unique parts. Ensure products meet precise specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)


  • Use of manual and/or CNC machinery

  • Select and setup all required tooling without supervision

  • Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications

  • Write and edit basic programs for CNC machines

Key Competencies:


  • Familiarization with Solid Works

  • Program using Master Cam

  • Working knowledge of shop math

  • Able to modify programs in response to problems

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Requires a successful completion either through a state-sponsored vocational school, community college or technical school certification program in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Experience: A combined education and on the job training in a manufacturing environment; 2-4 years previous experience with programming CNC machines
