The Opportunity JLL is seeking an overall leader for the Detroit Market. The Detroit Lead will be accountable for strategic and operational activity including proactive recruiting, overall market growth, new business development, and talent management & development. This individual will have leadership responsibilities for the JLL service lines across the region including: Brokerage, Project Management, Capital Markets, and Property Management.
The Market Lead will anticipate stakeholder needs while providing support to key clients enabling out-performance on key performance indicators. This individual will build the region's financial plans while striving to exceed revenue and profitability goals. This critical role will engage employees and translate the firm's strategy and goals into business opportunities in the Market. This is a "Player-Coach" role.
RESPONSIBILITIES Lead Market Growth to JLL Potential
Develops an overarching road map which outlines the plan to establish a market leading position across all lines of business. Opportunity to double the Brokerage business in three years.
Leads and is accountable for strategic recruiting
Identifies growth opportunities within the market and creates plan to achieve success; approach clearly identifies current and future state
Effectively conveys vision, direction and approach that is clearly understood by all audiences
Understands the competition & develops pursuit strategies to win
Holds ultimate accountability for the successful financial performance of the Market against established financial goals and targets
Leadership
Recruits, coaches and develops brokers, business line leaders, and support staff to reach full potential, dealing effectively with day to day challenges.
Client facing individual who leads by example in sourcing new business opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships

Management
P&L responsibility for the MSP market (timely and accurate budgets, reforecasts, actual reporting) and expense oversight
Coordinates operational aspects with Chicago's headquarters' resources
Creates and enhances standardized processes and infrastructure relative to providing superior real estate and business solutions for our clients
Establishes one, three, and five-year business plans to specifically grow the revenue of the Detroit market
