A Senior Financial Analyst in the Partner Segment Finance team is responsible for demonstrating a strong ability to retrieve and analyze data to develop an understanding of business performance and apply that knowledge to communicate trends and develop forecasts. The analyst will organize information to develop, compare, and assess alternatives, and provide their thorough and logical conclusion to management. In working through the data and analysis, the analyst will seek a variety of perspectives and inquire for additional information to fully understand a request/issue. The analyst is expected to anticipate and act on what needs to be done to accomplish a goal and will need to be open to finding alternative or innovative ways to carry out accomplishing this goal.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Demonstrates a pr oven track record in retrieving data and being able to effectively utilize this data and display it in a meaningful way to management.

  • Produce effective, accurate, and timely revenue projections through the forecasting of a specific portfolio segment and communicate results to management using critical thinking skills to proactively answer questions the analysis will generate.

  • Takes ownership of work product by becoming a subject matter expert for the selected Partner segment through the continual review of the segment's performance and forecast variance analysis.

  • Demonstrates adaptability in adjusting analysis, reporting, and forecasting to accommodate the changing business dynamics/products.

  • Maintains an open mind when working through scenarios/various approaches and receiving feedback to ultimately achieve a better final work product.

  • Considers best practices and lessons learned from previous experience to evaluate innovative solutions and continually advance processes, efficiency, and team performance.

  • Collaborates and fosters positive working relationships in a professional manner with business partners and team members. Proactively communicates with manager, team and partners on work product and timelines to meet commitments.

  • Practices First National's enterprise values. Maintains constructive working relationships throughout the Bank.

  • Supports the Partner Group's goals and strategic plan, as well as, the overall enterprise goals and plans.

  • Understands and complies with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to the job duties.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:


  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or another related field.

  • Additional 5+ years of working experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and data analysis.

  • Experience using SAS/SQL and Business Objects for statistical analysis, data extraction and manipulation to analyze large datasets.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail while maintaining an overall view of the bigger picture of the assigned project.

  • While working independently, exhibits the ability to multi-task assigned projects and daily workload while adhering to multiple completion timelines.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have strong ability to converse with senior management.
