BODY SHOP MANAGER:  Position will direct all activities of the full service Body Shop. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:



  • Supervise Body Shop technicians to perform crash type and refinishing type repairs to medium and heavy duty trucks.

  • Oversee and direct Body Shop activities to obtain projected volumes, profits and goals.

  • Write effective customer and insurance estimates.

  • Maintain customer relations by resolving customer’s problems/disputes through continual communication in a timely, correct manner.

  • Determine and maintain departments staff levels to insure customer service and acceptable expense levels.

  • Coaching, counseling and training of members through the use of Plan of Assistance, Performance Reviews and Wage Reviews.

  • Manage equipment needs, i.e. required tooling, thru budgeting, capital expense requests and accurate record keeping.

  • Manage warranty work and claims to satisfaction of customer and the company.

  • Have ability to read and utilize various monthly reports to aid in decision making, monitoring progress and meeting goals and projections.

  • Monitor all safety aspects in performance of work, guaranteeing adherence to environmental laws, safety laws and policies and OSHA laws.

Prior experience as a body shop mechanic with knowledge in all phases of truck repair preferred. Must have prior operational experience with an understanding of budgeting, staffing and personnel procedures.  Basic computer skills, including Microsoft programs a must.  Applicant must be self-motivated, possess leadership skills and have the ability to maintain good customer and employee relations.
