Arcosa Wind Towers is looking for a Technical Training Manager. In this role you’ll be responsible for overseeing the methods and effectiveness of overall employee training for both professional and technical operator training. You will also work with functional leaders in preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. This position reports to the Director of HR.

What you’ll do:
Work with HR, Safety and Quality to ensure a cohesive, effective and compliant training programs
Write literature and materials to be used in programs and designs exercises to enhance training methods and effectiveness
Develop training methodology and roadmap that synergizes both professional and technical training
Ensure operators are trained, cross trained and compliant with certifications
Uses Arcosa systems to document training and to notify employee’s when follow up training is required
Oversee and guide the preparation of training programs
Assess training needs and certification requirements
Deploy training to targeted personnel
Assist with the preparation of training material and classroom agenda
Provide end user training for client
Conduct presentations and webinars
Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids)
Assist in design of computer-based and multimedia curriculum
Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills
Mentor others in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical courses
Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle
Test process with different subjects
Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System
Facilitate the creation of an OTJ Mentoring program that encompasses Safety, QA, and Operations for New Employees
Shares training best practices with other AWT facilities
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business or related field preferred
7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with direct responsibility for operator training
Experience developing training material
Experience conducting classroom training
Able to think and act strategically and build comprehensive plans
Able to work across boundaries and influence key stakeholders in the organization
Communicates openly and listens to learn
See the big picture but able to be hands on to ensure a quality product
Able to self-manage priorities, work and initiatives
Strong analytical, organizational, decision making abilities
Strong Computer skills/abilities to work with various software packages to include high competency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
Able to support off shift’s by flexing time to train 2nd and 3rd shift
Working Conditions:
Full- time position
Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas
This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
