YOUR ROLE


  • The Facilities Specialist: HVAC/Refrigerated Technician is responsible for the upkeep and performance of all heating and cooling systems within a large manufacturing facility.

  • Ensures administration of resources to maintain HVAC/R equipment, and ensure processes are performing to design parameters.

  • Continuous improvement and development of the preventative maintenance program to meet operation and production needs.

  • Effective planning and forecasting maintenance to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Engagement goals.


  • Diagnose and repair mechanical failures on all HVAC/R processes and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot all HVAC/R equipment malfunctions.

  • Perform quality preventative maintenance on all HVAC/R equipment and processes.

  • Coordinate heating and cooling projects.

  • Perform air flow analysis to provide recommended system improvements.

  • Record daily logs of equipment status, failures, repairs, regulatory compliances, and other activities.


YOUR SKILLS


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Completion of a certified HVAC/R training program required.

  • Current EPA 608 Universal certification required.

  • Completion of training programs for the maintenance of boiler and chillers preferred.

  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, practices, materials and methods used in HVAC maintenance.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and various styles of equipment operation manuals.

  • Knowledge of current practices for control of corrosion in HVAC units and associated controls.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical mechanical principles and the application of mathematics and dimensions as related to the plant process, utility and compressed air systems.
