Objective: The Mechatronics Engineer develops new product and provides technical direction to the project team in an exemplary manner according to the company policies.
Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or similar degree), or 5 years of experience in an engineering function
A minimum of four years of product development and product design experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred), developing customer product requirements from concept to production
Experience with Project Management, establishing and maintaining efficient project organization, providing technical direction, providing effective feedback to teams, raising issues and problems as necessary, and prioritizing with the ability to drive projects to completion
Strong background in materials and their proper application in metal-based product design
Understanding of metal stamping tooling and manufacturing methods, welding, and assembly
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint)
Computer proficiency using Solid Works to design and develop products
Knowledge of mechanical drafting standards and geometric dimension and tolerancing (GD&T), with the ability to review electronic documentation and specifications, including Computer Aided Design (CAD) data, part print information, global engineering standards, and specifications
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to work a flexible schedule
Ability and willingness to work in a team-based environment
Ability and willingness to travel worldwide up to 30% of the year
Excellent communication and leadership skills
An excellent work record, including attendance

Essential Functions:
Project Management:

Direct engineering research and design phases for various projects.
Assist in the design of project objectives that will meet the determined requirements.
Evaluate engineering data, with technical guidance from Project/Tooling Engineers, Development Engineers, Manager and other senior personnel, to ensure successful progress and completion of assignments.
Coordinate project phases with designers, drafters, and technicians in order to complete assignments.
Evaluate ongoing projects, make recommendations and direct necessary changes in the methods or processes, by utilizing innovation and creativity.
Practice prudent engineering and effectively apply formal engineering training to add to the overall effectiveness of the Engineering Group and enhance the company's positions within the product line.
