Objective: The Design Engineer prepares and analyzes data to create robust designs for new and existing products to ensure manufacturing feasibility.
Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors of Science in Engineering
Four years of product development and product design experience with metal stampings
Previous experience with developing customer product requirements from concept to production
Formal training in computer aided design (CAD) software for design (SolidWorks, Catia V5, or Unigraphics)
Understanding of metal-based products and metal stamping tooling and die construction methods as well as manufacturing methods, welding, and assembly
Knowledge of mechanical drafting standards and geometric tolerances
Ability to review electronic documentation and specifications, including CAD data, part print information, and global engineering standards and specifications
Ability to establish and maintain efficient project organization and provide technical direction to the project team
Ability to provide effective feedback to management on a regular basis, raising issues and problems as necessary, establishing an appropriate priority
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
Ability and willingness to work in a team-based work setting
An excellent work record, including attendance

Outstanding candidates will possess the following Desired Requirements:

Product development and product design experience in an automotive environment
Strong Unigraphics NX 10 or later design experience
