The 5 month Athletic Trainer Intern will provide athletic training coverage for team practices and competitions for sports assigned by Athletic Training staff. Assist in the coordination of healthcare for all junior college athletes through prevention, recognition, management and treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses. Assist in coordination of athletic training room and facilities; including record keeping, inventory, data entry, etc. Daily schedule varies. Some overnight and day travel is required. Occasional on call weekend duties will be required for off season and after hour events. This is a 5 month appointment. On-campus housing and full campus meal plan is provided. This position runs from January 4th, 2021 to June 5th, 2021.
Required Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited athletic training program.
NATABOC certification and eligible for Iowa licensure. Must be in good standing with the NATA . Current CPR , AED & First-Aid Certification.

Candidate must be able to stand for at least four straight hours, lift at least 50 pounds to waist level, run/jog 100 yards without stopping, and be able to see 100 yards with or without corrective lenses. Ability to use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, strong management and organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills is required. Work is routinely performed in an office environment.
Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid U.S driver's license and a good driving record.
Salary : 1,500 per month for 5 months
