Overview



  • A Security Engineer with HiTrust and/or SOC-2 design/build/deploy experience in configuring firewalls, routers, servers for HiTrust compliance needs.

  • Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.

  • Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with HiTrust and/or SOC-2 standards and project/operational requirements.

  • Install and configure systems which support infrastructure and/or R&D activities.

  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.

  • Contribute to and maintain security posture of the system standards.

  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for security system administration tasks.  Identify approaches that leverage resources.


Key Responsibilities   


  1. Install and maintain security patches on the operational and development system, which includes, but is not limited to: Linux, Ubuntu 10.04 to 16.04, Windows 2003/2008/2012, VMWare, Exchange, IIS and Windows deployment server.

  2. Report Security Patch compliance in Online Compliance Report System (OCRS).

  3. Perform daily system security monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs,

  4. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

  5. Create, change, and delete user accounts per request, as necessary.

  6. Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies.  Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

  7. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.  Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.

  8. Create procedural documentation for monitoring of security tools and the administration of said tools within the environment.

  9. Analyze and create a baseline for systems.

Maintenance


  1. Apply OS security patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary.

  2. Upgrade and configure system software that supports infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.

  3. Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.

  4. Perform ongoing security performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

Timeliness, completeness and accuracy of assigned deliverables.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Cyber Security industry/vendor certifications

  • 2+ years hands on Security Engineer role experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in revenue cycle management

  • Experience with accounts receivables

  • Demonstrable problem solving abilities with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems

  • Experience in EPIC, Allscripts, or other various practice management systems is a plus.

  • Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments
