Position Summary
This position is responsible for the digital execution of the sales and marketing programs for key eCommerce accounts in the Beer Division National Accounts Convenience Store channel. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and coordinating of the Annual Business Plan for assigned accounts. Individual will develop rapport with high-level personnel from merchandising, marketing, and operations to accomplish set sales goals and identify emerging opportunities at key accounts for Constellation to maintain category leadership. Individual will report directly to a Beer National Accounts Channel Vice President.
Responsibilities
Sales
Ensure digital representation of authorized distribution of Constellation Brands Beer portfolio to key eCommerce accounts within Beer Division Convenience Store and manage via Salsify.
Develop, sell, and implement custom ecommerce-focused created promotional programs to listed accounts.
Execute against National priorities and work with trade marketing to develop customized regional/eCommerce programming that can be used to leverage national retail programs.
Develop, cultivate, and support relationships with other sales team members to enhance their account calls.
Communicate sales programming to Constellation Brands sales counterparts to ensure execution of retail plans and promotions.
Partner with National Sales Team Leads to strengthen digital and eCommerce knowledge with brick-and-mortar Constellation Brands account teams and evolve account engagement as accounts evolve internal organizational silos.
Learn, develop & implement catalog management best practices with eCommerce Catalog Management and Operations team to ensure we have the best in class digital footprint with all retailers.
Develop, sell, and implement custom created promotional eCommerce programs including leveraging enhanced product details page content, site placement, product bundling and internal search.
Manage budget allocations, ROI, and other financial responsibilities. Execute against account plans and retail budget in order to maximize set sales goals.
Manage Travel and Expense and Tactical Funds budgets to maximize ROI.
Prepare and deliver detailed and professional sales presentations for account business reviews and sales calls.
Advocate and evangelize emerging digital, technology and shopping trends with National Sales Teams and key account contacts.
Analyze and share objective assortment, merchandising and catalog recommendations to accounts balancing eCommerce “extended aisle” capabilities with curated, consumer-led assortments.
Use IRI and other data syndication data information, category management, pricing & program, shelf, and assortment analyses to populate scorecard monthly.
Understand price forms and tools to communicate & facilitate paperwork with retailers & wholesalers for existing & new items.
Work with retailers to ensure adequate training on eCommerce, assist them with analysis and understanding of their Beer business to meet retailer’s goals and CBI strategy and goals, measure via Scorecard.
Monitor and update product titles, descriptions, search terms, etc. to optimize search performance and conversion (focus when rankings dip below goals on scorecard).
Gather and synthesize digital shelf data from Edge/Profitero and use to populate and review sales/share performance via scorecard and identify any issues.
Support account with any work required to improve or update eCommerce presence on account website (e.g. updating PDPs to new account requirements).
Monitor availability metrics on scorecard and act as liaison with NAM and account team to investigate any issues in availability as they appear.
Propel Constellation’s Beer portfolio leadership reputation with customers.

eCommerce Partnership
Partner with eCommerce Catalog Management and Operations team to ensure Constellation assortment is accurately represented and managed on account eCommerce sites (“digital shelf management”) in areas of keywords, onsite search optimization, product images and taxonomy. Role will include developing scalable workflow for new item setup and item maintenance.
Partner with eCommerce Marketing team to develop account/customer-specific promotional calendars & identify and optimize promotional/marketing/business development opportunities.
Partner with eCommerce Category Advisor team to develop digital-first insights, category leadership tools & resources for our retailers, wholesalers & internal teams.
Manage and contribute to various cross-functional projects that focus on driving service and sales performance.
Partner with COE to gather insights that will be shared and implemented with accounts.
Stay in regular contact with the omnichannel account eComm contact(s) and develop strong advisory relationship.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent job experience in the consumer products industry.
A minimum of 5-8 years experience in the consumer packaged goods industry
A strong understanding of category management is required.
Proven track record in building good relationships with retail customers, internal associates and wholesalers.
Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to gather and use customer feedback to identify customer and market needs and challenges.
Demonstrated diligence and ability to follow through on all commitments (internal and external stakeholders).
Excellent written and oral communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals with a minimum of direction.
Proven analytical skills and understanding of syndicated data and its applicability to beverage alcohol categories is required.
Computer literacy with the ability to learn and use various software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and e-mail programs such as Outlook.
Demonstrated technical skills required for the preparation of professional and effective sales presentations.
Ability to travel a minimum of 40% of his/her working time, including up to 5 hours driving time.
Preferred Qualifications
Sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry
Sales experience calling on eCommerce accounts (e.g. Amazon, goPuff, Fresh Direct) or managing 3rd party marketplaces (e.g. Instacart, Drizly, eBay, Amazon etc)
