Overview

The Network engineer position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, in some cases, designing communication networks within our organization or between organizations. 

Strong understanding of networking principles, Strong understanding of network security principles Good understanding of system integration concepts Effective written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated technical experience with the following: Cisco Networking Devices, including ACL management, Routing protocols, Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP) Network Security, VPN, Firewall, IPSEC protocol suite, SSL based VPNs AAA

Key Responsibilities   

Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution.

Monitor network status, network connectivity, switch operation and router configuration.
Promote server and application patch management processes.
Monitor server load and implement load balancing where appropriate.

Engineering experience; installing, configuring, and supporting WAN connectivity solutions.

Network engineering experience supporting and troubleshooting in large datacenter environments.

Ability to understand and work in a complex network with moderate supervision.

In depth experience configuring and supporting Cisco routers/switches.

Must have experience with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine).

Excellent communications, interpersonal and customer support skills.

Software-Defined Network (SDN) deployment and support knowledge.

Experience in Network life cycle management and refresh processes.

Cisco SIP installation / Support Experience.

Skills


 

Demonstrated knowledge, experience and proficiency with Cisco Networks, VMWare and Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and greater, Active Directory and other support services.

Experience implementing transport layer security (TLS).

Experience with VMware ESXi and MS SQL Server.

Understanding of Change Management frameworks such as ITIL and/or DevOps.

Functional knowledge of Exchange backup software/strategies.

Ability to adapt and work independently or with a team in a highly dynamic environment.

Knowledge and support of Group Policy. Strong trouble-shooting skills

Mentoring and team-leadership skills

       Administrative Skills

      Strong Oral Communication Skills

       Strong Written Communication Skill

Timeliness, completeness and accuracy of assigned deliverables.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Professional-level Cisco certification or above, preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written   communication and documentation skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Network engineering career path preferred.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications


  • MCSE certified solutions expert certification desirable

  • Considered a plus to have 2+ years of technical experience in a combination of the following areas:  2+ yrs of Windows Server OS Support.

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management

  • Experience with accounts receivables

  • Demonstrable problem solving abilities with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems

  • Experience in EPIC, Allscripts, or other various practice management systems is a plus.

  • Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments
