Supervises crew of skilled and semi-skilled workers. Coordinates educational seminars as required.
Participates in the repair and maintenance of stormwater swales, pipes, culverts, inlets, outlets, water directing curbs, signs, markings, header walls and drainage issues.
Responds to residents and local business complaints, and determines the correct course of action to be taken. Plans, organizes and supervises the collection and disposal of all refuse, trash and debris collected during environmental events such as Rivers Alive, Great American Clean Up, etc. for the City.
Prepares the annual stormwater and solid waste plans and/or reports for submittal to the Environmental Protection Department, Department of Community Affairs and the Atlanta Regional Commission as required. Assists in maintaining the City's State of Georgia National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).
Review tree removal permit applications, conduct site visits, ensure removal complies with the City's Tree Ordinance, confirm proper site clean-up, and respond to inquiries.
Prepares employees' performance evaluations as required.
Investigates and prepares written reports of all accidents involving employees as required.
Evaluates invoices for correct quantities for payment of construction projects.
Conducts site inspections of new construction pertaining to stormwater and transportation projects as required.
Perform timely NPDES inspections of all Land Disturbing Activities to ensure compliance with stormwater/construction permits; soil erosion, drainage, buffer and other requirements.
Performs the duties of the workers supervised as necessary.
Performs related work as required.
