Our Software Engineers play a pivotal role in developing, improving, and scaling our platform while sticking to high quality standards and 24/7/365 uptime requirements. Our software is complex, massively scaled, and built with a wide variety of languages and tools, lending itself to the most exciting and challenging technical problems.

About the Team:

We are diverse and professional team of software engineers building the systems, applications and products that transform our customers data into actionable insights that run their business. Our customers include marquee names in the digital media industry. The team primarily uses java to build applications that span big data, web services, complex workflows, API based services and analytic visualizations. The team is composed of software engineers at varying level of experience dedicated to solving technical challenging complex business problems.

About the role:

This leadership role will challenge you to manage the team that builds the systems that drive a complex and fast-moving market. The right candidate will possess the soft skills to collaborate with stake holders across the organization. The forecasting systems are a necessary and integral component of the future of Xandr’s offering.  The role will put you in the position to impact the convergence of television and web based advertising that will power the consumption of media in the future.

  • Collaborate with product management, commercial and services organization to deliver maximum value for the organization.  
  • Provide direction and oversight into improving the security, reliability, and resiliency of the platform
  • Evaluate, recommend and manage new technologies and processes that enhance the platform
  • Build and maintain an organization that allows individual contributors, team leads and engineering managers to grow in their careers
  • Manage engineering managers, team leads and senior technologists keeping them happy, motivated, growing while consistently delivering high quality products.
  • Allocate and prioritize work for both engineering teams and senior technologists. 
  • Own mission critical services and infrastructure.
  • Transform the data from addressable TV, Digital TV, linear TV, Digital Video and internet publishers into forecasts of inventory and audience interaction to create actionable insights for the buying and selling of advertising.
  • Domain expertise in the advanced TV and/or web yield management is desirable but not required.

About your skills:

  • BS/MS/PhD preferred in CS or related field
  • 10+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience leading multiple engineering teams
  • Full stack experience across UI/API/Database and big data technology domains.
  • Passion for building systems and solutions that manifests itself as delivering successful projects
  • Ability to dive deep when needed and strategize across tools, platforms, and create solutions across a complex technology stack
  • Excellence at formulating, understanding, and solving complex, non-routine problems
  • Provide daily guidance to team members managing a complex, high-performance platform by working through creative solutions, identifying issues and roadblocks, and reviewing system architecture decisions
  • You have built web scale applications and you knew their respective systems from top to bottom.
  • Demonstrated experience in your role oral and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to transition to individual contributor when necessary.
  • Ability to quickly respond to feedback and course correct, with evidence of this behavior in your previous accomplishments
