Arcadis is seeking a Scheduler to join our Infrastructure Business Line in the Miami, FL area.

Successful candidates will have spent at least 10 years in progressively responsible positions in project controls of infrastructure projects ranging from $100,000 to $20 million in value. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of project controls (cost and schedule management) methods for construction, and commissioning & validation. Candidates must possess solid leadership, technical, organizational, and communication skills and have a proven track record.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties


  • Assist in the definition of the project development of Work Breakdown Structure as the basis of all project control system/tools and centralized code structure.

  • Define the project controls approach, setting forth recommendations, which will include project control systems and tools, procedures, reports and assignment of responsibility.

  • Coordinate review of the project controls approach with the Client's controlling staff (e.g. Chief Financial Officer, Contracting Officer)

  • Establish with the Client's staff and other stakeholders reporting formats and document control system.

  • Assist the project management staff in the preparation of the project budget and the project schedule.

  • Assist the project management staff with the management of project scope, budget, and schedule.

  • Establish, analyze, and report on the project key performance metrics.

  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards to ensure consistent reporting of accurate information.

  • Must understand construction means and methods.


KEY ATTRIBUTES:

  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several assignments.

  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications


  • 10 years of experience related to project and program-level controls on major construction programs.

  • Experience in project controls related to construction.

  • Proficiency with project/program controls software and web-based program management systems (specifically Oracle/Primavera Project Management - P6)


Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

  • PMP, CCM, PSP, PMI-SP, PMI-RMP certification(s)

  • MBA Degree

  • Risk management

  • Cost estimating
