Summary/Objective:

The IT Security Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of security tools, information security projects and implementations; work with the Director of Information Security to update and support the implementation of enterprise IT security policies, standards and procedures to ensure the protection of information assets. This position will manage work across multiple information systems, organizations and projects.

Essential Functions:


  1. Lead incident response teams comprised of security, IT, and other business leaders in resolving enterprise security issues to ensure that the company can effectively deal with and continue to operate in the event of a cyber-attack or prolonged outage at the enterprise and/or business unit data centers.

  2. Maintain organization's effectiveness & efficiency by supporting strategic plans for implementing & supporting information technologies and championing information security strategy.

  3. Provide oversight and direction to the IT security team to ensure enterprise risks are understood, tested, measured, managed, and mitigated.

  4. Coach team and direct reports to facilitate continuous growth and development; develop team goals aligned with department objectives. Identify internal and external training resources and opportunities.

  5. Support compliance with various regulatory standards, such as Sarbanes Oxley

  6. Manage vendor risk assessments and information security components within contract reviews.

  7. Assist with annual budget preparation; manage spend and analyze variances.

Required Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Seven years of progressive IT security experience, with 3 years of management experience

  • Network and Systems (Windows, Linux) Security and Security Operations Management experience

  • Application, SAAS, & Software Security experience

  • CloudNative/CloudHybridSecurity (Azure,GCP,AWS,etc) experience

  • NIST 800-171, GDPR, Country Privacy Laws experience, SOX, IT Controls

  • CISSP or equivalent security certification or relevant experience

  • Experience with key information security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability assessment, encryption, identity and access control systems, anti-malware, and security event analysis.

Required Skills and Abilities:


  • Project Management and documentation skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences including senior level management.

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical subject matter to a non-technical audience.

  • Strong hands-on management capabilities, leadership, coaching and people management skills

  • SAP Security and Governance
