Here, everyone matters and you will be a vital contributor to our inspiring, bold mission. As a Senior Regional Business Director working on the Plasma Derived Therapies Primary Immunodeficiency team, you will be empowered to lead and be creative and strategic, a typical day will include:
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
Senior Regional Business Director – Midwest Region to include OH, IN, IL, WI, MI, KY.
Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of eight Territory Business Managers in the Plasma Derived Therapies Business Unit - Primary Immunodeficiency who are responsible for calling on multiple physician specialties including Allergy/Immunology.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Demonstrated success and experience in leading launch excellence of new therapeutic options
Drives the implementation of Brand strategies to ensure the attainment of National objectives
Ability to adapt National strategies based on Regional Business Drivers and Influencers
Understands the complexity of and can lead a team thru understanding and navigating the different channels and avenues that drive successful sales strategy in this environment
Plans, directs and controls the sales and business activities within the physician setting to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives
Collaborates closely with Patient Services, Integrated Health Systems, Market Access and National Accounts teams to establish strategic execution and pull through of contract opportunities within each geography
Manages external collaboration with key Specialty Pharmacy partners to maximize opportunity and ensure market access to Takeda’s SCIG product portfolio
Prepares quarterly and annual regional forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential
Ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies and good organization/time management skills
Deals with all major channel accounts to ensure customer satisfaction
Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations, providing coaching, mentoring and development to team
Partners with sales support and marketing in activities such as sales promotion and training
EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare sales experience. Advance degree preferred
The successful candidate must have strong management experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in the biotech field
Experience in navigating, selling and leading within the physician setting. With a strong understanding of the different environmental and market drivers of this customer segment
Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation, collaboration and presentation skills
Must have experience creating and implementing annual sales budgets and forecasts
Candidate must demonstrate business acumen and knowledge of sales processes as well as strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Ability to organize and maximize information on sales leads and integrate this information into the strategic sales plan
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive travel as needed to support team and attend meetings and conferences
