Position Summary:

Develop and execute the control plan, audits to ensure that control plans are being followed, and ensure containment and corrective action in the event of non-conformance for Rotating/Couplings business, working closely with product design engineers, sourcing, manufacturing, vendors and subcontractors. Ideal candidate is someone with experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing company/plant with a strong customer focused approach.

Major Responsibilities:


  • Develop, review & update internal and external quality documents and ensure they are being followed, through periodic audits.


  • Liaison with customers on quality approval requirements, complaints and audits


  • Vendor/supplier qualification - Carryout First Article Inspections


  • Work with vendors in case of nonconformity for a detailed root cause analysis and adequate & effective corrective actions


  • Monitor and analyze quality performance through metrics - internal and external (vendors & subcontractors)


  • Support Material Cost Out (MCO) and Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) projects.


  • Participate and provide inputs in design reviews of New Product Development (NPD) and Engineered To Order (ETO) products.


  • Support product and manufacturing transfers and restructuring projects.


  • Lead/support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and Kaizen events to improve efficiency in quality department.


  • Work with cross functional & leadership team towards achieving business objectives & financial targets by addressing/improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth (SQDCG).


  • Follow Regal Beloit Ethics and Safety Programs


  • Follow Environmental Compliance Programs


  • Adhere to all export, import and supply chain security policy requirements relevant to the position


  • Perform other assignments as directed by supervisor


Required Education / Experience / Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, advanced degree preferred


  • Minimum 5 years related work experience in an industrial company, preferably in machining industry with high mix and low volume


  • Lean / Six Sigma - value stream mapping, TPM, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, GEMBA, Gage R&R…


  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications


  • Experience with Oracle or equivalent ERP system


  • Ability to coordinate activities and influence others in a cross-functional environment



  • Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision


  • Undertake work in an efficient and timely manner


  • Good project management skills a plus

  • Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
