Job Description

Kimberly-Clark Professional (KCP) is seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record of developing new technologies, commercializing new products, while working with cross functional teams in an exciting Agile work environment for Personal Protective Equipment (Masks, Apparel, Gloves, Vision) and Partnership Products (PP).

The role will lead and/or participate as a critical thinker in the all aspects R&E’s role in commercializing and maintaining design control and compliance of PPE and PP products. In addition, this position will be integral to ensuring accomplishment of all aspects Human Centered Design in the KCP Product Development Plan.

Success will be determined by the ability to develop and execute work plans to solve complex business problems that result in compliant market advantaged PPE IMF and product portfolios. Key behaviors include:


  • Effective formal and informal communication skills;

  • Sharp business acumen to identify new technologies and application to KCP product portfolio.

  • Strong technical competency in regulated markets (Medical Device or similar) and the ability to determine, demonstrate and document KCP product performance related to critical product characteristics.

  • Development of a strong constituency within all critical functional teams around the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead product development projects for new PPE and contribute to the conceptualization and design of PPE Products (masks, apparel, gloves, vision)

  • Ability to analyze test data and determine if designs meet end user needs and product requirements

  • Provide support as necessary for sustaining engineering related activities including claim substantiation, performance enhancements and cost savings initiative

  • Maintain a working knowledge, especially changes, related to standards, laws, recommendations, etc. that originate and/or are endorsed by industry associations and regulatory agencies such as NIOSH, FDA and ISEA. Develop and implement changes to internal training and standard work to account for these new expectations

  • Ensure the proper application of global regulatory requirements by being a contributing subject matter expert in the development and documentation supporting regulatory submissions

  • Develop and participate in the execution of work plans to address Pre and Post Market Risk Managements, Design Transfer deliverables

  • Develop and implement work plans to establish and maintain documentation and compliance of all test methods, inspection procedures, manufacturing procedures, acceptance criteria, and all other relevant measurement analysis

  • Collaborate with Project teams and Regulatory to assist with Design & Development deliverables. Assisting in the application of government and regulatory agency standards and compliance within project work plans

  • Be a critical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Innovation teams, provides functional leadership that cultivates and protects existing technologies and products

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • A Master’s degree in relevant disciplines such as Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering from an accredited

  • Ability to work in Agile environment

  • Minimum 5 years of Working knowledge and experience with products requiring compliance with various regulatory or other technical requirements

  • LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent problem-solving knowledge/experience

  • Experience with relevant STDs such as ISO 9001, ISO 22716 and ISO 13485

  • Demonstrated problem solving experience within a complex, matrixed or multi-business organization

  • SPC proficiency including the use of statistical software packages
