The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a 900 Hour Temporary Production Operator you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Operate manual and/or automated packaging lines to convert in process materials to intermediate final pack of variety of different tapes, films and other various products.


• Operate automated assembly machines to pack out products


• Maintain quality standards


• Utilize 3M Computer systems to track production and packaging cycles


• Maintain communication with production coworkers and supervisors regarding production performance


• Perform production tasks in a safe manner


• Participate in all required production and safety training


• Participate in proactive lean manufacturing initiatives

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED


• This position requires working rotating shifts, weekends, extended hours, overtime, short notice coverage and holidays as needed.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in a manufacturing plant environment


• Experience operating a powered fork truck


• Basic computer knowledge


• Experience in agriculture/farming and/or mechanics

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
