If you are a Production Manager looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Shakopee, Minnesota location, you will manage production or maintenance function to achieve production and service level goals for assigned product line or facility.  AS AN PRODUCTION MANAGER YOU WILL: 1. Enhance the safety culture to create a safe work environment for our employees


  • Provide leadership in setting expectations for a safe work environment
  • Drive safety improvements
  • Provide on-site expertise to achieve safety, quality, and productivity
  • Ensure production policies and procedures are accurate and documented

2. Responsible for the implementation and adherence to quality policies and standards

  • Ensure use of current revisions and accurate procedures
  • Ensure quality training to process procedures that are understood and adhered to
  • Work with production group to ensure ISO documentation and training records standards are adhered to

3. Organize, staff and lead the production function to support business needs

  • Organize the workforce to optimize effectiveness and productivity
  • Define and facilitate objectives and metrics; report to leadership on department performance
  • Mentor and coach team members by providing regular feedback and cross training opportunities
  • Conduct annual reviews and participate in salary planning activity

4. Coordinate scheduling and capacity to achieve lead time and service level objectives

  • Develop rates and plans with Master Scheduling, P&IC, management and engineering
  • Provide direction and metrics to ensure development of balanced schedules
  • Organize the production and maintenance work force for optimum effectiveness
  • Provide coordination and liaison between production and other departments as needed

5. Manage costs to established goals

  • Manage budgets consistent with financial objectives
  • Maintain reports and accurate record keeping
  • Maintain and develops effective and cost reductive programs

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Technical field
  • Five (5) to six (6) years related experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  
  • Previous Emerson experience in a Manufacturing leadership role
