Job Description:

The JPMorgan Chase Global Supplier Diversity program has been in place for over 26 years, and has achieved $20 billion in spend over the last thirteen years with businesses owned by minorities, women, military veterans, disabled veterans, service-disabled veterans, people with disabilities and members of the LGBT+ community.

The Global Supplier Diversity Team (GSD), a group within Corporate Site Services (CSS), is a unit of the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) responsible for leading the firm's initiative to increase the amount of business contracted with certified and registered diverse suppliers.

As a leader in supplier diversity, GSD is seeking a dynamic self-starter to continue setting the standards for excellence in this growing field. The successful candidate will serve in the capacity of Global Supplier Diversity Manager, reporting directly to the Global Head of Supplier Diversity and working closely with other team members to drive operational excellence as it relates to Global Supplier Diversity.

Core Responsibilities


  • Promote and support supplier diversity program and goals that connect with the corporate-wide diversity and inclusion strategy
  • Work closely with Lines of Business (LOB), Global Supplier Services (GSS) category leads, and their teams to understand GSS's current vendor engagements and pipeline opportunities for key cross-functional considerations for qualified diverse businesses
  • Develop and maintain relationships with diverse external organizations, recommending, developing, implementing and/or facilitating internal and external diversity relations strategies, alliances, and programs
  • Work closely with varied communities as a committed diversity professional with high integrity and the willingness and ability to confront issues meticulously and provide guidance in resolving difficult issues internally and externally
  • Manage GSD's Gold Supplier engagement efforts-program aimed at leveraging JPMC's most important suppliers to achieve greater value across many dimensions, including driving improved performance metrics, Tier 2 spend reporting, benchmarking, and supplier diversity program development
  • Prepare and respond to RFPs firm-wide, external surveys and competitive applications
  • Develop processes to ensure: (a) tracking workstreams and initiatives, (b) KPI's are agreed, measured and tracked, (c) proper prioritization and sequencing of key deliverables, (d) risks are addressed and status measured, and (e) deliveries are successful

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in supplier diversity, vendor relations, sourcing, procurement of goods and services, or a closely related business area
  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree
  • Proven ability to execute via successful internal partnerships with other organizations. Influence peers with diverse points of view and build consensus
  • Ability to independently manage projects and problem solve without taking significant guidance from senior management. Demonstrates leadership skills in working with partners and others who may not have a direct reporting line into the group
  • Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent interpersonal, verbal communication skills with the ability to crisply articulate complex concepts with poise and confidence.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop, design, and deliver effective executive level presentations
  • Experience growing strong internal and external relationships
  • Exhibit outstanding relationship building skills both internally and externally
  • Experience working with supplier diversity development organizations, such as The National Minority Supplier Development Council, Women's Business Enterprise National Council, National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, and the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
  • Ability to apply strategic direction, and develop plans that align with organization's core strategic goals
  • Problem solving skills - to solve problems effectively and creatively while maintaining a high level of flexibility, professionalism and integrity
  • Passion and commitment for supplier diversity
  • Perform related duties and projects as assigned
