Job Responsibilities:

Facilitate the Implementation of the different Environmental programs.  Ensure and facilitate the implementation of the different Environmental Programs, Permits and Plans.  Oversee that the company complies with local and federal environmental regulations. Provide technical support to the site in environmental programs such as Air Permits, DOT/Hazardous Materials, Refrigerants, RCRA (hazardous and non-hazardous waste), NPDES, PRASA permits, SWPPP, SPCC, Title V and Air Construction Permits, etc.   Be the subject matter expert for environmental programs:  RCRA (hazardous and non-hazardous waste), DOT/Hazardous Materials (Waste Scope), environmental construction permits and water program.

Basic Qualifications:

BS/MS in Chemical Engineering.  Be an active member of CIAPR with EIT and PE license preferred.

Experience:

Experience – minimum 1 years on a similar role or in pharmaceutical industry.

Work under time pressure and self starter.

Detail oriented, methodic, searches for solutions, shows curiosity, looks deeply at problems.

Work under minimal supervision.

Excellent communications skills, oral and written (Spanish and English).

Good documentation and presentation skills (Spanish and English).

Excellent mathematical skills.

Excellent Computer/software’s skills.

Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements.

Availability to work irregular hours, weekends, holidays when necessary.

Availability to provide on call support during weekends and after normal business hours.
