Sr Associate - Advisory at United Lex

Job Description:

Support client pursuits and deliver engagements as part of the Advisory team; provide business consulting services, process improvement analysis and technology strategy. Demonstrate and grow expertise in Law Department Operations in order to support corporate clients via the design and implementation of solutions for short-term and long-term operational improvement and cost savings. Drive a team culture that exemplifies entrepreneurship, collaboration and professional development.

Responsibilities:


  • Support the delivery of project plans for UnitedLex’s Advisory team via the implementation of strategies to improve the efficiency of our corporate law department clients.

  • Effectively support the development of new business and the expansion of existing client accounts via exemplary service.

  • Responsible for day-to-day support of client accounts and timely, high-quality deliverables.

  • Contribute to the development of proposal materials, including client journey/storyline and associated financial models/business cases.

  • Identify opportunities to integrate and leverage breadth of UnitedLex services into delivery of Advisory starter projects

  • Maintain knowledge of cutting-edge industry tools and trends in matter management, records management, e-billing, contracting lifecycle management, and document management.

  • Grow expertise in, financial management, and outside counsel management.

  • Seek out opportunities for continuous learning and development.

Requirements:


  • BA/BS in Finance, Business Analytics, MIS or a related field

  • MBA, JD or other relevant advanced degree a plus

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with a leading consulting firm or large corporate law department in a consulting, paralegal, business analytics, law department operations, litigation support or similar role

  • Experience with software implementations including matter management, ebilling, contracts management, HRIS and/or ERP systems a strong plus

  • Strong mastery of process analytics and design, with related operational experience

  • Knowledge of law department management best practices and industry trends

  • Tech savvy, with strong knowledge of relevant industry platforms and tools

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills with the ability and credibility to foster client trust and buy-in

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously

  • Team player with proven ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
