NationServe is a brand of the Overhead Door Corporation, founded in 1921, a Sanwa Holdings Company, headquartered in Lewisville, TX.  The Overhead Door Corporation also includes brands such as Wayne Dalton, Overhead Door, Todco, Horton, Genie and Creative Door.

NationServe supplies, installs, services, and maintains Wayne Dalton garage doors, commercial doors, garage door parts and Genie® garage door openers across the United States.  These brands embody the same quality, safety and dependability NationServe is known for.

NationServe is a division of Access Systems Division (ASD), one of the most recognized and respected brands in the garage door industry.  NS operates in 17 locations in the United States providing sales and service of residential and commercial overhead doors. NationServe, a division of Overhead Door Corporation has an immediate opening for an Outside Sales Representative.

 

THE POSITION

Sells residential/commercial products to commercial contractors, homeowners, and residential builders at sales office, store, showroom, or customer's place of business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Calls on purchasing agents and/or superintendents of existing and potential builders.


• Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective residential/commercial customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.


• Displays or demonstrates residential/commercial products and emphasizes selling features.


• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for residential/commercial orders obtained.


• Reads builder and commercial blue prints/scopes of work in order to quote larger jobs.


• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.


• Builds relationship with clients.


• Represent NationServe/Overhead Door in a professional manner.


• Assist in collecting monies due to NationServe/Overhead Door from customers who have exceeded their credit terms.


• Site inspections of all residential/commercial jobs prior to the installation date.


• Participate in Trade and Home shows.


• Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-3 years Outside Sales experience, Garage Door industry experience preferred, but not required.


• Ability to effectively present information & respond to questions from clients.


• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.


• Attention to detail and problem solving.


• Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills while interfacing with all levels of staff and clients.


• Working knowledge of PC’s and related software including MS Word, Excel, Access, Lotus Notes, etc.


• Basic math skills required.


• Willingness to learn product and processes.


• Must have valid DL.

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to work in outside weather conditions


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
