Role Overview:

As a member of the Sales Operations organization, the Sales Lead and Support Specialist provides the sales team with day-to-day prospective and existing client relationship management through various activities including: lead generation and nurturing from lists of prospective clients from conferences and other lead generating activities, providing lead generation campaign analysis, coordinating demos and other sales meetings and/or calls, tracking sales follow up calls, customer relationship (CRM) database administration efforts. The Sales Lead and Support Specialist plays a key role in the identification and improvement of the sales operations process and understands Centauri products and the overall industry sales cycle. Centauri seeks a Sales Lead and Support Specialist who is eager to share new ideas and serve as a contributing team member in a collaborative and receptive environment.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Conduct cold calls and emails to prospective new clients from provided resources, leveraging CRM, subscriptions, and conference attendance lists

  • Follow up on warm leads representing upsell/cross sell opportunities as assigned

  • Coordinate teleconferences and in-person meetings/demos with prospects, on behalf of sales executives

  • Assist in securing request for proposals

  • Continuously assist sales executive with ongoing relationship management of new prospects as well as existing clients to identify upsell/cross sell opportunities

  • Manage sales CRM system and manage documentation to ensure updates are maintained and current status is monitored within the CRM regularly

  • Field incoming inquiries and perform follow-up activities as requested by internal sales team stakeholders

  • Participate in ongoing sales and product training

  • Manage and host teleconferences and in-person meetings/demos with prospects, on behalf of sales executives

  • Understand and agree to role-specific information security access and responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organizations information security policies

  • Read, understand, and agree to security policies and complete all annual security and compliance training

Role Requirements:


  • 4+ years of sales administration experience

  • Experience and demonstrated success in cold calling

  • Experience in healthcare SaaS or healthcare technology solutions

  • A positive attitude and flexible demeanor

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Demonstrated success as a collaborative and results-oriented team player

  • Self-disciplined with an aptitude to stay on task

  • Strong Microsoft Office and CRM skills

  • Skills in working effectively within tight time frames and budget constraints.

  • Skills in contributing to group cohesiveness without sacrificing personal individuality.

  • Background in Risk Adjustment (Record Retrieval, Analytics, Coding & Submissions), Quality Improvement Programs such as HEDIS® and STAR Reporting as well as healthcare enrollment and hospital systems is preferred

  • BA or BS with sales or communication background, or comparable experience
