Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa Subsidiary, is searching for a Non-Plate Buyer in our Fort Worth, TX plant. In this role the Buyer will perform supply chain and logistics functions for our MUS plant in Mexico, which may include, but are not limited to, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. The buyer will also be responsible for creating integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics and outside suppliers.

What you’ll do:

• Coordinate incoming movement of hardware, fasteners, structural components, and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules
• Compile data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements
• Negotiate favorable terms and volume discounts with approved suppliers and prepares and processes purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination of Purchasing Disciplines
• Plan, schedule and monitor inbound movement of materials from suppliers, with an emphasis on import/export logistics and documentation
• Determine material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
• Coordinate information and activities with other team members
• May coordinate or exchange information with third parties, vendors, or customers

What you’ll need:

• Bi-lingual (Spanish) applicants preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience in purchasing steel is preferred but not required
