The Department of Pediatrics is currently recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to this nationally recognized research institution participating in many federally funded and industry sponsored clinical trials. The CRC will screen and enroll subjects for protocols in the clinical settings. The CRC's primary responsibility will be coordinating projects for the Program for the Study of Neurodevelopment in Rare Disorders. The individual will assist the investigating physician(s)/Principal Investigator(s) (PI) with preparation of regulatory documents, planning, subject recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and study conduct. The CRC will train and mentor health care personnel about protocols and ensure protocol adherence under the direction of the PI. Strong communication skills are necessary. Flexible hours (day light, some evenings, weekends) will be necessary. Regulatory and research experience within the University of Pittsburgh a plus. Experience in coordinating clinical trials is required. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. This position is located at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment. Two years of this experience must be in coordinating clinical trials. Regulatory and research experience within the University of Pittsburgh a plus.
