The Division of Pulmonary Medicine is seeking a Laboratory Manager who will perform molecular, cellular, and/or in vivo approaches, as well as molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques to move existing and new projects forward as assigned.

The laboratory manager will maintain 1-2 complex research projects autonomously, while assisting the supervisor with projects as a highly motivated and proficient team player. The candidate must be able to analyze data, communicate results in a timely manner, and provide input into designing new experiments based on those results.

Candidate will be expected to help draft manuscripts, as well as IACUC and IBC protocols. Will be responsible for providing supervision to lower level research staff, post docs fellows and scholars, as well as students. He/she will also maintain and manage basic lab and inventory maintenance, help manage and supervise consumables and their ordering, and potentially manage the breeding of mouse colonies.
Degree in Biochemistry is preferred. Extensive experience may be substituted for advanced degree. Understanding of the wide variety of lab techniques is required. At least one year of experience with complex assays and supervising personnel is preferable.
