Senior Business Operations Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise

As part of the Business Strategy & Operations Team for the Software Business Unit and CTO Office you will provide core business operations support to GreenLake R&D and be able to operate in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful.

Responsibilities


  • Provides core business operations support to GreenLake business owning budget management, forecasting, actual cost tracking.

  • Manage the monthly and quarterly financial close process, partnering closely with finance.

  • Partners with business leader and cross-functional teams to develop short-term (typically less than two years) business plans and supporting data-driven models.

  • Prepares comprehensive implementation tactics, including execution plans, resource allocation plans, follow-up guidelines, assessment, and process accountabilities.

  • Ensures that business activities are aligned with stated plans among different stakeholders.

  • Sets business metrics, evaluates actual performance, and makes recommendations to business leaders on performance target achievement.

  • Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.

  • Works with cross-functional teams across the entire span of business planning activities.

  • Works closely with business leaders to develop business plans based on historical and forecasted data and reports.

  • Drives operational excellence by proactively identifying process improvements and developing & implementing solutions while partnering with other Operations Managers, HR and Finance.

Education and Experience


  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree desired

  • Typically 6-10 years of experience in business planning, operations, finance or related functional area

Knowledge and Skills


  • Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology and the ability to manage complex data requests.

  • Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.

  • Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.

  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.

  • Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Very strong project management and operations skills, including leading cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization Developed relationship management skill
