Our client is searching for an AVP of Quality Improvement with expertise in grant reporting and the non-profit sector to join their team. This team member will be responsible for managing the Grant Reporting program within the agency, contributing to overall organizational strategy, and leading performance initiatives. Key Accountabilities:

Maintain Council on Accreditation (COA)


  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Programming Teams to maintain Council on Accreditation (COA) standards
  • Maintain annual accreditation activities
  • Lead reaccreditation activities
  • Work to ensure that the agency is operating in a manner that meets or exceeds standards, or is on-track to achieve the standard

Project Management & Quality Improvement Leadership

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills - including, initiating, planning, executing and controlling project scope, activities, timelines, costs, and resources
  • Identify process improvements and efficiencies with a focus on technology, user adoption, expense reduction and client satisfaction
  • Identify and lead Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards to include contract adherence, and grant requirements
  • Oversee the development, review, and agency attestation of organization policies and procedures
  • Lead, manage and coach all PQI staff
  • Conduct departmental succession planning

Ensure Effective and Efficient Client Data System Operations

  • Serve as the project lead and/or act as the key stakeholder for the implementation of upgrade and migration projects
  • Support agency data needs
  • Provide reporting on client and strategic outcomes
  • Ensure continuity and security of operations
  • Manage relationships and contracts with vendors and contractors

Organizational Strategy

  • Contribute to division and strategic planning
  • Develop and execute strategies to track and report on strategic initiatives
  • Complete data analysis to guide planning efforts
  • Communicate progress on strategic initiatives

Mitigate Organizational Risk

  • Oversee incident reporting and follow-up action
  • Address all complaints and grievances
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plan

Grant Reporting Program

  • Oversee work quality and prioritize assignments of grant report writer
  • Track funding source proposal requirements and reporting deadlines
  • Ensure regular, timely, and accurate reporting to funding sources of progress in funded programs to funders, private donors and foundations
  • Partner with program staff in meeting organizational standards and compliance with grant and contract requirements

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Business, or similarly related field - Master's Degree Human Services or Business preferred
  • Experience in nonprofit management preferred
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team-members to meet organizational goals
  • Enterprise project management experience
  • Process improvement expertise - familiarity with Six Sigma
  • Strong data analysis, management, and interpretation skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent time and task management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
