Position Summary: The senior financial analyst works closely with both the finance and accounting departments to enhance financial analyses and reporting capabilities. Responsibilities include follow-up to inquiries made regarding issued financial statements, as well as special projects assigned by management. The position offers high visibility and interaction with senior management.
Essential Functions:
Work closely with upper management to enhance financial analyses and reporting capabilities including standard monthly report and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Budget Versus Actual Reporting:
Analyzing variances to assist in reforecast process
Providing detailed explanations for management
Budgeting / Reforecast.
Provide FP&A group additional coverage for annual budgets and additional forecasts
Assists various departments with the budgeting process
Support Corporate initiatives and projects including, but not limited to:
Month end board reports
Budget versus actual analysis
KPI dashboards
Building pro forma forecasting models
Customer level budgeting
Market share analyses
Customer analyses
Process improvement analyses
Business analytics and data mining
Ad hoc projects based on prior experience, or potentially preference
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree; in finance or accounting or other related field
Strong background in financial forecasting and modeling is desired
Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets
High attention to detail
Willingness to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Excel and Powerpoint
