Production Lead at Microbiologics

Job Description:


  • Assist Production Manager and serves as a backup.

  • Work with and inform Production Manager on the status of production, effectiveness of the quality management system and assessing opportunities for improvement, the need for changes and to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Provide department leadership through training and developing team members for success.

  • Assist Production Manager with coordinating the workflow and work activities within the department to ensure quality and productivity goals are consistently met.

  • Report and assist Production Manager with any cited production activities and personnel competency deficiencies in a timely and responsible manner.

  • Confer with other leads/supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within departments or between departments.

  • Scheduling and manufacturing of routine microorganisms as assigned by the Production Control Manager

  • Operate lyophilizers according to Company procedures

  • Perform maintenance according to the General Maintenance Schedules when applicable

  • Perform and document that specified production, labeling and storage functions and activities are recorded on each DHR and comply with the provisions contained within the Device Master Record (DMR).

  • Fill out and record all applicable production documents.

Education/Experience


  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in microbiology or related field preferred.

  • Minimum one year of previous related experience and/or training required.

  • Practical microbiology laboratory experience preferred.
