Nurse Manager

Summary Description 

Responsible for case reviews and all medically related functions related to participant and provider requests for non-emergency medical transportation services. Work with Medical Director and clinical staff to ensure medical utilization management requests are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Provides oversight for clinical reviewers and appeals staff.

Accountabilities

• Work closely with the Executive Director and Medical Director to ensure medical reviews and related functions are completed in a timely manner.


• Oversees clinical quality assurance activities are completely.


• Provides clinical and policy training to program staff.


• Serves as the clinical point of contact for the State.


• Addresses complaints or concerns from participants and providers.


• Provides oversight for participant appeals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.


• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.


• Valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois required.


• Advanced Practice nursing license in Illinois preferred.
