A Day in the Life

In this position you will aid engineers, based on specific objectives, with a variety of technical and quality compliance tasks. You will support manufacturing operations, sustaining, and test development activities.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Provide a high level of technical support to the organization by analyzing and resolving technical problems requiring application of circuit analysis and/or software techniques.


  • Develop and implement methods for testing assembled circuit boards using ATE and bench test processes.
  • Train and mentor troubleshooting strategies and techniques.
  • Keep current in all necessary safety and tool-use training
  • Adhere to defined quality, safety and housekeeping practices as required by the work area.
  • Partner with others to identify potential adjustments and enhancements to the job area.
  • Aid with troubleshooting and debugging test equipment, test software and product supporting root cause failure analysis and implementing solutions to reduce or eliminate down time.
  • Provide quality internal and external customer service.
  • Seek new sources of information and provides information necessary to meet customer needs.
  • Assist troubleshooting ATE, ATE support equipment and test hardware
  • Timely escalation of issues and requesting help as needed.
  • Assist in performing verification and validation activities, performing Measurement Systems Analysis (Gage R&R studies); support test solution release for production testing of medical grade electronics
  • Troubleshoot yield and performance issues to root cause using statistics-based analyses and providing related technical solutions
  • Follow test application development procedures and demonstrate compliance through technical documentation generation

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education and advanced certification in addition to prior work experience

Nice to Have

  • Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent, or 1-3+ years of schooling on a technical track, or similar certifications
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand instructions in English, read documents, understand verbal instructions
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment, take and give direction, and act as a lead for technician activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the application of engineering principles, concepts, theory and practice as required for lab management, as well as project management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.
  • Understand hardware schematic and PCB design
  • Prior knowledge /experience using standard lab equipment for ATE to bench correlation
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio)
  • Experience with Cadence or similar design / simulation tools.
  • Experience with quality assurance and nonconformance processing
  • Experience with testing and test planning of circuits and equipment
  • Experience analyzing/understanding electronic schematics.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic equipment in a production environment.
  • Experience conducting analysis of electrical components.
  • Open to learn new skills and be ready to work in an agile environment
  • Extensive experience using lab instruments including oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, etc.
  • Experienced in an electronics manufacturing and test environment, utilizing ATE platforms (J750 Teradyne, LTX, and SPEA experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of computer language such as C, C++, or Visual Basic 6.0
  • Experience in a semiconductor environment for manufacture and test
  • Experience in a medical industry for manufacture and test
  • Experience with wafer probers and testers is a plus.
  • Experience setting up, troubleshooting and repair of test hardware
  • Experience using electronic test equipment for troubleshooting and repair (including but not limited to meters, oscilloscopes, voltage supplies and signal generators)
  • Experience supporting a production test floor
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with a team.
  • Demonstrated creativity, project planning and engineering judgement in solving manufacturing problems.
