Job Description:

The Orchard Pointe at Arrowhead is looking for a full-time staffing coordinator/ certified med tech to join our great team! We offer a fun, rewarding work environment with great benefits and competitive wages! This position is located in Glendale, AZ.

The primary role of our Med Tech at Heritage Communities is centered support and assistance to residents allowing them to enjoy their highest level of independence while receiving the necessary care and service to meet their changing needs. While maximizing employee resources by preparing and maintaining staff schedules that ensure staffing levels are in place for 24-hour resident care. Primary responsibilities include the preparation of weekly/monthly master schedules based upon resources and business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Manages all nursing department schedules via an online scheduling system.
2. Perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures initiated by the community.
3. Medication Tech will pass medicine according to the policy and procedures of the community.
4. Ensures adequate staffing levels are maintained and coordinates schedule changes by locating alternative resources as needed.
5. Prepares and analyzes various scheduling work hours and overtime reports.
6. Identifies staffing level trends and proposes alternative staffing resources and/or models.
7. Resolves scheduling issues with staff members. Requests assistance from leadership when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must be a Certified Caregiver and/or Medication Aide according to state regulation.

  • Must have current First Aid, CPR, and Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • One year of scheduling, hiring, or other healthcare-related staffing experience.

  • Proficient with MS Office including Word and Excel. Experience with scheduling software preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage time and changing priorities.
