Nemours is seeking a Manager of Information Security Engineering and Operations (Full-Time), to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida.

At Nemours, each Associate plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of world-class pediatric care to the children we serve. The team based at our home office in Jacksonville, Fla. provides essential administrative, financial and technical support to Nemours operations across all locations.

The primary responsibility of the Security Engineering and Operations Manager is to ensure that security threats and vulnerabilities to Nemours are understood and appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented and effective.  The Security Engineering and Operations Manager will oversee the design; configuration; and operations of a complex security infrastructure focused on preventative, responsive, and detective controls in support of Hospital business and clinical operations.

This position reports directly to the CISO.

Essential Functions


  • Manage and help ensure security monitoring devices, (e.g., intrusion detection system) are at the appropriate levels with support.

  • Provide product selection, engineering and operations guidance for security state and event monitoring solutions in conjunction with IT.

  • Conduct technical assessments as defined by frameworks leveraging a standardized methodology.

  • Provide subject matter expert support for exceptions/waivers review and recommendation for approval by CISO.

  • Develop, maintain, advance implementation of all relevant policy & standards. Implement all the required monitoring requirements for timely identification of vulnerabilities and anomalies.

  • Develop reporting and metrics (KPIs) to effectively measure security controls and processes.

  • Lead cross department remediation of security incidents.

  • Position will manage 4 - 5 Associates.

  • Will be the Tech Lead when it comes to Incident Response.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Minimum of five (5) plus years experience required.

  • Project Management skills required.

  • Strong technical background and analysis skills.
